MV GROUP Distribution PL celebrates 20 years of operations in Poland!
MV GROUP Distribution PL is celebrating a special anniversary – 20 years on the Polish market. Two decades of dynamic growth, earning the trust of partners, and consistently implementing its strategy have made the company one of the leading importers and distributors of alcoholic beverages.
In December 2005, the Polish alcohol market was dominated by vodka and pale lager–style beer. Rum and whisky were still considered curious novelties, and consumers accustomed to classic brands were only beginning to open up to innovations and the premium segment. It was in this landscape that MV GROUP Distribution PL took its first steps, starting with just a dozen products in its portfolio and a turnover of PLN 5.5 million. Twenty years later, the company reports an annual turnover of PLN 350 million, and its number of employees has grown from six to nearly one hundred. The company celebrates its 20th anniversary as one of the leading alcohol importers and distributors in Poland, serving major retail chains, renowned restaurants, bars, and hotels across the country.

The company is part of MV GROUP, one of the largest business groups operating in the Baltic states, with companies in Lithuania, Poland, Latvia, and Estonia. It operates across multiple sales channels with a portfolio of over 300 brands, including alcoholic beverages from various categories and regions as well as FMCG products, more than 80 of which are distributed on the Polish market.
One of the group’s flagship brands remains Stumbras Vodka, the second most popular imported vodka in Poland. In July this year, the Lithuanian brand was recognized in the prestigious “Drinks International” ranking as the third fastest-growing vodka brand globally. MV GROUP Distribution PL also works with other global leaders such as Whyte & Mackay (whisky), Angostura (rum, bitters), Sogrape, and Grupo Peñaflor (wine). Its portfolio also includes delicatessen products, including confectionery, kvass, and tonics.

At the same time, the company is seeking new ways to reach consumers. A breakthrough moment this year was the opening of the Bottlery chain – specialty boutiques offering premium alcohol. The first three stores were opened in Warsaw, Poznań, and Wrocław. This investment allowed the company to diversify its sales channels and reach retail customers directly. Consumer expectations are rising every year, and MV GROUP Distribution PL’s ambition is to set new standards across all market segments.

The culmination of the anniversary year was a celebration held at the beginning of December at the Moxo restaurant and club in Warsaw. The event brought together company employees, business partners, suppliers, and invited guests, who jointly celebrated 20 years of MV GROUP Distribution PL’s presence. The meeting was an excellent opportunity to summarize achievements so far, thank all those who contributed to the company’s success, and discuss future initiatives that will help strengthen its position.
