Alita has a new Head of Production
The Alita factory managed by MV GROUP Production has a new Production Director – Vitalijus Aksiutinas, who has been working at the plant for more than 25 years, took up this position on September 1st.
Aksiutinas joined the company in 1997. After starting his career as a loader at the transport department, he was soon promoted to the position of warehouse manager and later to the position of Head of the Sales. For the past four years, Aksiutinas has been responsible for the transportation of MV GROUP Production’s products and raw materials, and since 2019 he has been the Head of Logistics.
“Vitalijus was never intimidated by new challenges, they only fueled his excitement and desire to learn. Starting with the simplest of jobs in the factory, today Vitalijus manages the entire Alita team, which employs more than 200 people. Over the years he has consistently demonstrated leadership and has become an inspiring role model, illustrating how a steady step-by-step progression can lead to the highest positions. V. Aksiutinas will continue the work started by Viktoras Mostovoy, the former production manager of Alita: he will increase efficiency, implement the LEAN system and other innovations. He considers the well-being of the team to be no less of a priority.
“My goal is to develop and unite the team. The director cannot sit in a closed office, he must be in the production rooms where he can follow the process and participate in conversations. The synergy and relationship between the production manager and the factory staff is a very important part of the daily work. My goal is not only to improve production processes at Alita, but also to find time for informal communication with colleagues and a break from working together,” says Aksiutinas.
Alita, which celebrates its 60th anniversary this year, is part of the beverage production company MV GROUP Production, together with Stumbras, Anykščių vynas and Gubernija.
