Šiauliai Gintra Football Organisation and Gubernija, one of the most famous industrial companies in Šiauliai, have extended their partnership, which started in 2021, for the next year.

On 24 October, a grand opening event took place at the Gubernija HUB Visitor Centre, where Gintra leaders congratulated the partners on the project and wished them the best of luck in the development of this authentic space.

The friendship between Gubernija and Gintra has become an integral part of the women’s football club and children’s football academy. It is hard to imagine the Academy’s events, football tournaments or UEFA Champions League matches without Gubernija products.

In the coming season, the Duonos Gira brand will continue to adorn the jerseys of the Lithuanian champion Gintra women’s team, and the Rugilė logo will be featured on the representative part of the football academy’s children’s outfits.

This cooperation grows every year, opening up more and more opportunities for children and young people interested in football, as Gubernija and Gintra also implement social projects together. The “We can do more” initiative will visit institutions in Šiauliai this winter. The aim of the initiative is to reduce social exclusion, to create a relation between the day-care centre children and the players, to promote mentoring and to enable people to play football with Gintra.

More and more children are joining our academy and we have already organised a number of successful initiatives with Gubernija. Meanwhile, Algirdas Čiburys, the Head of MV GROUP Production, which owns the Gubernija brewery, is pleased that the Gubernija brewery in Šiauliai will continue to contribute to the development of children’s and women’s football in the city of Šiauliai, as well as to help the city’s football players to reach for victories.

Gubernija, managed by MV GROUP Production, is one of the oldest breweries in Lithuania and the only Lithuanian-owned brewery in the country. The cooperation with Gintra is a great example of how business and sport can grow together, fostering a strong and motivated community.
