Bottlery invest more than 0,5 million euros into its expansion: 3 new shops will be opened, others will be renewed

Lithuanian retail supermarket chain Bottlery keeps growing. Mineraliniai Vandenys, a company that manages it, plans to open 3 new stores in the near future. 300 thousand euros will be invested into the expansion of Bottlery this year, while another 250 thousand euros will be used to renew the already existing ones.

The company plans to open the new stores till September. According to Vilma Zilinskienė, the manager of the Bottlery chain, ambitious expansion is based on business growth and customers’ needs.

“Bottlery yearly turnover keeps growing consistently, by 10 percent per year on average. Our clients’ circle is significantly expanding, we get a lot of positive feedback. Therefore, opening new stores is a natural step of our business expansion. It will help us be more accessible and to test new store formats and concepts”, – says V. Zilinskienė.

The first step to Nida

The first of the new Bottlery stores will be opened on the 13th of May in the Benedict’s Market of Vilnius. It will be different from others by its size of only 30 square meters, new concept and different assortment of more extraordinary products and novelties.

In May, Bottlery will open its first store in Curonian Spit – it will be located in Nida to fulfill the needs of people spending their vacation in this Lithuanian resort.

“Since the beginning of our business, we gathered a wide and large loyal client base. A big part of it is accustomed to easily find our stores near them in the biggest cities of Lithuania and missed that when they went on vacation to the seaside. We listen to their needs attentively and try to fulfill them. Therefore, we decided to open a Bottlery store in Nida and be available to our clients there since this summer. They will find their favorites and ideas for presents to bring home as well there”, – says V. Zilinskienė.

The third new store will be open in Vilnius – it will be located in Vilnius Outlet shopping mall and it will be oriented to people who live in the suburbs of the city. They will be able to find a various assortment of traditional and extraordinary products and ideas for gifts here.

The renewal of existing stores

Bottlery will not only open new stores this year but also renew the existing ones. The first one was renewed and reopened in March in Vilnius Akropolis shopping mall. The next renewed store will be opened in July in GO9 shopping mall.

“The changes that we implement include stores concept, interior, arrangement and broader assortment of various segments. We are doing this renewal to stay up to date and to be able to offer our clients the trends of tomorrow”, – says the manager of Bottlery.

Bottlery opened two pop-up stores last year – one in Ozas shopping mall in Vilnius and the other in River Mall shopping mall in Kaunas. It is a new concept of beverage stores in Lithuania. However, according to V. Zilinskienė, it gives significant value to customers and the supermarket chain as well.

„The pop-up stores opened in the biggest shopping malls give a great opportunity for our clients to shop faster and to choose from smaller yet purposefully selected assortment. While for us this format lets to test customers’ flow in particular places and to make reasonable decisions for expansion”, – says V. Zilinskienė.

The Bottlery online shop opened at the end of last year also instantly gained wide interest. According to V. Zilinskienė, the pandemic was a significant factor for its success – people started to search for more comfortable and safer shopping alternatives. Exceptionally wide assortment of 1500 products and fast delivery were other key elements of this e-shop’s strong start.

There are 15 Bottlery stores of various formats operating in Lithuania at the moment: 9 in Vilnius, 3 in Kaunas, 1 in Klaipėda, 1 in Druskininkai, and 1 in Panevėžys.
