Although we are well aware that we, MV GROUP, employ many creative and talented people, sometimes their hobbies surprise even us. Just look at the toys crocheted by our colleague, MV GROUP Production Alita plant operator Gintarė Aleknavičienė – are they not works of art? Gintare says she started crocheting five years ago when she was expecting her first child. Of course, it didn’t work out right away, but we know it well – whatever you set out to do, you can achieve it!
“The first job – a frog – got inverted, the second instead of a panda got something like a rat… And after that it started to go better – I understood what the best thread or rod size, technique and so on,” says Gintarė.
The most expensive crochet toy for a colleague is a fox – she gave it to his firstborn Justas, who constantly carried the toy to kindergarten. In total, Gintare counts over a hundred of her handmade toys.
“The smaller the toy and the more details it has, the longer it takes to take it off. But with a lot of free time, it is possible to crochet it in 1-2 days, ”says Gintarė. Only at the moment, she has very little time – after all, she is swinging her daughter for just a few months!
