Did you know that our colleague, Artūras Sikorskis, who works at Alita, was a famous musician in the past? We do not doubt that some of you remember the legendary Alytus group “Wine”… Yes, Artūras was one of her faces! A colleague tells us that he discovered music as a child. First of all, reluctantly, the parents pressed him to learn to play the violin. But later, during the years of study, the guitar in his hands appeared as if by itself, and the thoughts easily turned into songs.
“The band “Wine” was a project of young “dudes’’, in which we wanted to show that pop music can be intellectual. Not everything succeeded, but we were the first group in Alytus to climb to the top of the Lithuanian Radio Top Ten and show the video clip in LTV,” says our colleague.
Although “Wine” has existed for only a couple of years, the legendary “Ireland” was born from this group, which shone in the sky of Lithuanian rock for a long time. “Wine” saxophonist and violinist Eimantas Belickas is still well known to everyone.
Although now Artūras usually plays and sings for his pleasure, it is also possible to hear him singing on the stage at Alytus city festivities. In addition, he recently fulfilled his dream – he released the vinyl record of “Wine” songs a few years ago.
